Hello Tulsa!

05Jan2025 – Broken and Bleating Ranch has been in operation in Owasso since 2001. We started with just a few pigeons that were wild and injured. We nursed them to health after they were shot out of a neighboring barn and landed in our yard. Then we had friends that found another with an injured leg that we also nursed to health. Our original name was Broken Wing Ranch.

Then came the silkie chickens! I loved the silkies. I had several colors after a while and loved them. Sweet fun chickens that are like a gateway to other chickens. Then came some cochins, and quite a few other breeds…and ducks, and turkeys, and peacocks.

Then we got some steers that we raised for freezer camp. We then got a few cows and raised some cattle.

We tried to have Boer goats for food too, but they were too darn personable. This is where we got the “Bleating” part of our name. We had those Boer goats for about 10 years and also had started the Nigerian Dwarves goats and a few other breeds. We love them all, but the Nigerian Dwarf goats are my favorite.

We both decided to go back to school and finish our degrees after closing our retail business in 2013. It caused us to pare down to just the basics. A few odds and ends laying hens and the Nigerians and my now domestic pigeons and some rollers pigeons.

So fast forward to now. We have been going again and decided we needed a website because of all the issues with Facebook and selling animals. We love to raise the babies and work on different things genetically. We do show several breeds of pigeons too now. We can’t keep them all even if I wanted to and want to find them good new homes. So here is where that info will go.
